Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: June 25, 2026 • CBK Regulatory DCP Guidelines Compliance
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the CrediPoa digital lending platform. By accessing or using our services, registering an account, or applying for a digital loan, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Eligibility Criteria
To register an account and apply for credit services with CrediPoa, you must satisfy the following conditions:
- Be a citizen of the Republic of Kenya aged 18 years or older.
- Hold a valid National Identity Card (National ID).
- Possess a registered and active Safaricom mobile phone number linked to an active M-Pesa account in your own legal name.
- Submit to device fingerprint check and background regulatory validations.
2. Fees, Charges, and Interest Rates
CrediPoa discloses all costs related to borrowing before you agree to a digital loan contract:
- Interest Rate: A flat rate of 12% is charged on the loan principal.
- Processing Fee: A flat fee of 5% is charged for underwriting and verification.
- Insurance Fee: A fee of 2% is deducted to cover life/disability insurance protection.
- Annual Percentage Rate (APR): The total annual rate including fees will vary between 144% and 210% depending on the loan duration (14 to 60 days).
3. Disbursement and Repayment Terms
Approved funds are disbursed directly to your Safaricom M-Pesa account. Repayments must be completed on or before the due date. The due date is explicitly set on your application screen (varying from 14 to 60 days). Settle outstanding balances using Lipa na M-Pesa STK Push or Paybill Business Number 4022989.
4. Overdue Penalties and Default
If a loan balance remains unpaid past the due date:
- A penalty surcharge of 2% per day of the outstanding principal will accumulate daily.
- CrediPoa will initiate recovery collection calls to verified emergency contacts.
- Your details will be reported to Credit Reference Bureaus (CRB) under the Central Bank of Kenya Digital Credit Providers guidelines, resulting in credit rating degradation.
5. Fraud Prevention and Blacklists
To guarantee safety, only one account is permitted per National ID number and mobile phone number. CrediPoa deploys device fingerprint tracking. If a single device accesses multiple borrower accounts, or if suspicious ID verification anomalies are detected, the system will flag the account, suspend borrowing privileges, and add identifiers to the global Blacklist database.
6. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the Laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes arising hereunder shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Kenya.
